Actor Rahul Sharma, who recently joined the cast of the popular television show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, has finally broken his silence on his off-screen rapport with his co-stars. The actor further explained that their bond wasn’t something that was forced or developed for the sake of the show. “With Rohit, it feels organic. We share a similar sense of humour and often find ourselves laughing over the same things. It helps that we both approach our craft with seriousness, but we don’t let the pressure get to us. He’s like a buddy I didn’t expect to find here.”
However, when asked about his rapport with co-star Samridhii Shukla, who plays the lead opposite him, Rahul offered a more reserved response. He admitted that while they do share mutual respect as professionals, they haven’t yet built a personal bond outside of work. “I wouldn’t say we’re close. Samridhii is a little introverted, I feel,” he said gently. “She prefers to keep to herself, and I completely respect that. Everyone has their own personality, and not everyone is as forthcoming or social.”
Rahul went on to explain that their interactions are cordial and work-focused. “There’s no awkwardness or issue at all, it’s just that we don’t really connect beyond the script. We both do our scenes, maintain a professional vibe, and then go back to our respective spaces. It’s perfectly normal in this industry — you won’t be best friends with every co-star,” he added.
