Despite facing a few delays and changes in the production timeline, the much-anticipated multi-starrer comedy Welcome To The Jungle is very much alive and moving forward as planned. Sources close to the production have confirmed that while certain schedules were postponed, the film remains on track for completion. The final leg of the shoot is expected to kick off once the monsoon season tapers off.
The film, which is the third installment in the popular Welcome franchise, has already created massive buzz thanks to its ensemble cast and grand scale. However, recent reports about shoot cancellations had sparked speculation regarding possible delays or logistical issues. Putting all rumors to rest, an insider from the production team clarified that the delays were only temporary and mostly weather-related.
“Some of the scheduled shoots were impacted due to unavoidable reasons, including weather conditions and actor availability,” the source revealed. “But there is no change in the larger production plan. The final shooting schedule is set to take place after the rains, and the team is already preparing for it.”
Directed by Ahmed Khan, Welcome To The Jungle promises to bring back the signature brand of quirky humor and chaos that fans of the franchise adore. The film stars a galaxy of popular names including Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Disha Patani, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Jacqueline Fernandez, and many more. With such a massive cast, coordinating schedules was bound to be challenging, but the makers remain optimistic.
“They’re fully committed to wrapping up the film smoothly,” the source added. “A lot of the shoot has already been completed, and what’s left is primarily the climax portion, which involves a heavy dose of action and comedy, set against lush outdoor locations. Since those locations require specific weather conditions, it made sense to wait until the monsoon subsides.”
The decision to push the shoot till after the rains is seen as a practical and strategic move rather than a setback. The team is currently focusing on post-production for the completed segments and fine-tuning elements like VFX and background score to ensure a polished final product.
With fans eagerly waiting for the return of the Welcome universe, the producers are confident that the film will live up to expectations. “It’s going to be a grand, laughter-filled entertainer. The delay is minor when compared to the scale of fun and madness we’re bringing to the screen,” said another source from the crew.
If all goes according to plan, Welcome To The Jungle is expected to wrap up principal photography by the end of this year, paving the way for a big theatrical release in 2025.
