With the release of his Eid offering, “Sikandar,” just around the corner, Salman Khan engaged with the media in Mumbai, providing updates on his upcoming projects. The actor confirmed the previously rumored delay of his collaboration with director Atlee, citing budget constraints.
“Atlee has written a very big budget action film,” Khan explained, “but the film is delayed due to budget issues. I’m not sure which of the two, Rajinikanth or Kamal Haasan, will be involved.”
However, Salman also surprised fans by announcing a new action-packed venture alongside Sanjay Dutt. “I’m doing another big action film after ‘Sikandar,'” he revealed, promising “rustic action on another level.” Details regarding the director and producer are yet to be finalized.
Khan also addressed reports of a potential reunion with director Sooraj Barjatya. “That is happening after he wraps up his current project,” he confirmed, referencing Barjatya’s film starring Ayushmann Khurrana, set for a 2026 release.
Turning his attention to “Sikandar,” Salman encouraged audiences to support all the Eid releases. “I hope people get good bonuses on Eid so they can watch ‘Sikandar,’ Mohanlal sir’s ‘L2: Empuraan,’ and Sunny Deol’s new film ‘Jaat.’ Three big stars are coming with big films, and I hope they all work,” he said.
“Sikandar,” directed by AR Murugadoss, features Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, and Sharman Joshi.
It will arrive in theaters on May 30th, coinciding with the Eid celebrations.
