After a hiatus of over two and a half years, Aamir Khan is set to return to cinemas with “Sitaare Zameen Par.” The film’s teaser, running for 79 seconds, received a “U” (Universal) certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) on March 24th.
Speculation is now rife regarding the teaser’s release, particularly whether it will be attached to Salman Khan’s Eid release, “Sikandar,” given its certification during the same release week. However, official confirmation is pending.
While Aamir Khan hinted at a June release during his 60th birthday celebration on March 13th, reports also suggest a potential May 30th release. An official announcement is expected soon.
Directed by R. S. Prasanna (“Shubh Mangal Saavdhan”), “Sitaare Zameen Par” also stars Genelia Deshmukh. Producer Ravi Bhagchandka praised Aamir Khan’s meticulous approach to filmmaking, highlighting his ability to bring fresh perspectives to storytelling.
