When asked about the reasons for the split, Affleck explained that it wasn’t due to any scandal or dramatic event. He stated, “There’s no major story or incident behind it. It’s just about people trying to understand themselves and their relationships, which is something we all go through.” He emphasized that, as time passes and people grow older, these situations become more complex and personal. “There’s no single thing that happened,” he said. “It’s more like something you’d hear in a couple’s therapy session, and I don’t want to air all that out because it feels too vulnerable.”
Ben also made it clear that he holds no ill will towards Jennifer and doesn’t want the public to think otherwise. “I have nothing but respect for Jennifer,” he said. “People often look for a specific reason behind breakups, but the reality is much simpler and probably less dramatic than people would expect.”
Ben and Jennifer’s relationship has had its ups and downs over the years. They first became a couple in the early 2000s, got engaged, but later parted ways.
