Alia Bhatt Impressed by ‘Saiyaara’, Connects with Ahaan Panday & Aneet Padda; Ranbir Kapoor Applauds Mohit Suri’s Direction

After the release of Saiyaara, the buzz in Bollywood circles hasn’t quieted down—and for good reason. The film, featuring fresh talents Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, and directed by the ever-reliable Mohit Suri, has not only won the hearts of audiences but also caught the attention of some of the biggest names in the industry. Among them are Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, who have reportedly gone out of their way to show appreciation for the team behind the film.

According to sources close to the production, Alia Bhatt, who recently watched Saiyaara during a private screening, was left genuinely moved by the performances and the storytelling. So impressed was she with the lead pair—Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda—that she personally asked for their contact details to reach out and applaud them for their work. A source revealed, “Alia was deeply touched by the sincerity in both performances. She said it was refreshing to see such emotional honesty in debut performances and wanted to send her compliments directly.”

Alia, known for backing fresh talent and supporting meaningful cinema, reportedly told a friend that Saiyaara reminded her of the kind of films that leave a lasting impression—not just for their visuals, but for their heart. Her interest in Ahaan and Aneet has now sparked speculation that she might consider collaborating with them in the future, possibly under her own production house.

Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor didn’t hold back either. The Animal star, who also watched Saiyaara recently, was so taken by the film’s emotional narrative and Mohit Suri’s signature direction that he picked up the phone and called the filmmaker personally. A crew member from the film shared, “Ranbir called Mohit right after watching the film. He was full of praise for how Mohit handled the emotional intensity without making it melodramatic. He told Mohit that the film stayed with him long after it ended.”

Ranbir reportedly also complimented the music, cinematography, and especially the lead pair’s onscreen chemistry, calling it “natural and unforced.” He added that the film had a haunting quality to it—something he believes audiences crave in today’s era of formulaic cinema.

Mohit Suri, who has always had an eye for unconventional stories and breakout performances, has remained humble about the praise. Speaking at a press interaction, he said, “It’s heartwarming to see the film resonate with not just viewers, but also with artists whose work I respect immensely. Alia and Ranbir’s words mean a lot. It’s a win for the whole team.”

The support from Alia and Ranbir has added another layer of validation to Saiyaara’s growing success, both critically and commercially. With audiences raving about the performances, a gripping story, and a soulful soundtrack, the film seems poised to go down as one of the year’s most talked-about romantic dramas.

As for Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, it looks like their debut film has not only brought them into the spotlight but has also earned them admirers among the industry’s biggest powerhouses—a promising sign of what could be a very bright future.
