Ajith Kumar’s Good Bad Ugly Continues Its Winning Streak at the Box Office with Rs 144.4 Crore, Faces New Challenge from Suriya’s Retro Next Month

Ajith Kumar’s action-packed film Good Bad Ugly has turned out to be a major box office success, amassing a whopping Rs 144.4 crore in total earnings so far. Despite a noticeable dip in its daily collections recently, the movie continues to draw attention and remains one of the top performers of the season.

Directed by Adhik Ravichandran, the film hit the big screens on April 10 with a thunderous start, raking in Rs 28 crore on its opening day alone. The film received an overwhelming response in its initial days, bolstered by Ajith’s massive fan following and positive word of mouth.

Two weeks into its theatrical run, the film’s momentum has started to slow, with day 15 reportedly bringing in Rs 1.06 crore, according to early figures from Sacnilk.com. Nevertheless, the overall response has been strong enough to sustain interest, and the film’s performance remains steady as it pushes toward the Rs 150 crore milestone.

However, the box office journey may get tougher in the coming days as it prepares to face fresh competition. Suriya’s upcoming film Retro is scheduled for release on May 1 and is expected to pose a significant challenge. With both Ajith and Suriya being major forces in Tamil cinema, industry watchers are anticipating a high-stakes clash.

Whether Good Bad Ugly can maintain its stride or get overshadowed by Retro remains to be seen, but one thing is certain—the summer box office is heating up with back-to-back big releases.
