Day 6 Box Office Update: The Conjuring, Baaghi 4 and Bengal Files Face Mid-Week Slowdown as Collections Dip

The box office, which had seen a promising surge over the weekend with multiple releases pulling audiences into theatres, is now witnessing the inevitable weekday slump. Three films — The Conjuring, Baaghi 4, and Bengal Files — entered their sixth day in cinemas, and the collections clearly reflected the struggle that most films face once the initial buzz begins to settle.

Horror franchise The Conjuring, known for its loyal fan following, opened with decent numbers in its first weekend thanks to brand recall and the film’s global popularity. However, the film is now seeing a significant drop in footfall during weekdays. While horror enthusiasts are still turning up, the numbers are no longer as strong, and the film will need steady word-of-mouth to maintain its presence over the coming days.

Action entertainer Baaghi 4, led by Tiger Shroff and Sanjay Dutt, had created a fair amount of hype before release, especially among younger audiences who enjoy the high-octane action sequences that the franchise is known for. Despite a decent weekend start, the film is now experiencing sharp declines in collections. The lack of strong storyline combined with tough competition seems to be impacting its weekday performance. Compared to Baaghi 3, the fourth installment is clearly trailing, and the film will need an exceptional push over the second weekend to revive its box office fate.

On the other hand, Bengal Files, which had garnered attention for its sensitive subject and hard-hitting narrative, performed relatively better over the weekend in select regions. However, like the other two releases, it too is finding it hard to hold the same momentum during the weekdays. While the film has received critical appreciation and support from niche audiences, its reach is limited, which is reflecting in the overall box office numbers.

Industry experts note that mid-week drops are common for most films, but the real challenge lies in how well they bounce back during the second weekend. With fresh releases lined up, the competition will only get tougher, making it crucial for these movies to retain as much screen space and audience interest as possible.

As things stand on Day 6, all three films are battling the classic weekday blues. The coming Friday and Saturday will decide whether The Conjuring sustains its horror charm, whether Baaghi 4 regains its action-packed momentum, and whether Bengal Files manages to expand its audience base. Until then, the box office mood remains cautious.
