At a glitzy event in Mumbai on April 22, the spotlight was not only on the unveiling of the new track Money Money from Raid 2, but also on an entertaining trip down memory lane by popular singer and music producer Honey Singh. Known for his energetic beats and chart-topping numbers, Honey Singh opened up about his working relationship with Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn, recounting stories from the sets of Singham Returns and his experience on the sequel to the hit film Raid.
Honey Singh, who was present at the launch alongside the film’s producers and director, recalled one particular incident from the past that left a lasting impression on him. While shooting for the song Aata Majhi Satakli in Singham Returns, Singh confessed that he had arrived at the set a whopping four hours late. Expecting a stern reaction from the lead actor, Singh instead found himself greeted with kindness and patience by Devgn.
“I was really nervous that day,” Singh said with a chuckle, speaking to the audience and press. “I thought for sure I was going to be scolded or at least get a serious glare. But Ajay sir welcomed me with such warmth and understanding that I was taken aback. That day, I didn’t just become a fan of his work—I became a fan of who he is as a person.”
Reminiscing further, Singh revealed a behind–the–scenes tidbit about the iconic track Aata Majhi Satakli. “You won’t believe it, but that song was made in just 24 hours!” he exclaimed.
