Babil Khan Expresses Hurt Over Paparazzi Sharing Private Moment With Huma Qureshi After Costume Party

Babil Khan, son of the late legendary actor Irrfan Khan, is known for his warm and cordial relationship with the paparazzi. However, the young actor recently showed visible disappointment toward them at a Mumbai event, revealing he felt let down after a personal moment of his was shared widely on social media.

The incident traces back to April 14, when Babil and actress Huma Qureshi attended a charity-themed costume gathering in Mumbai. A clip from the evening quickly circulated online, showing Babil engaging in what seemed to be a personal and slightly awkward exchange with Huma. In the video, Babil is heard asking Huma about someone being upset with him and not answering his calls. Huma, brushing it off casually, responded, “Later we will talk,” before adding, as he walked away, “I want to slap this boy.” The interaction sparked divided opinions online, with some users calling it a harmless moment, while others felt the exchange came off as tense or uncomfortable.

When Babil faced the paparazzi at another event shortly after the video went viral, he couldn’t hold back his feelings. After posing for photographs, he addressed the group, saying, “You guys really created unnecessary drama the other day. Why did you share that? It was strange, and honestly, it hurt me a lot.” In response, some photographers were heard apologizing, acknowledging his disappointment.

On the professional front, Babil is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Logout, where he steps into the shoes of a social media influencer. The cyber-thriller, directed by Amit Golani and produced by Vipin Agnihotri, explores the dark underbelly of online fame and the emotional strain that comes with constant digital exposure. The script is penned by Biswapati Sarkar.

Joining Babil in the film are Rasika Dugal, Gandharv Dewan, and Nimisha Nair. Logout is set to premiere on ZEE5 on April 18.

The film has already garnered attention internationally, having been screened at major film festivals like the Indian Film Festival of Stuttgart 2024, Mar del Plata 2024, the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2024, and the River to River Florence Indian Film Festival 2024 — where it earned glowing reviews from critics and audiences alike.
